Recommended pathway — Method Courses
Complete all six Method Courses before proceeding to the Executive Leadership Courses.
Begin with: the Featured IFM Futures Course.
Then complete: Community Consultation Method, Vinculum Method, TRAM, Futures Thinking Kite and SELECTIONS. This course is one of the six required Method Courses.
Learn the Vinculum Method interactively.
Book source: This course is based principally on Chapter 10, “The Epistemology of IFM as a Single Method,” especially “The Epigenesis of the Vinculum Method,” pp. 95–101 of The Inclusive Futures Method by Dr Colin Russo.
Developed by Dr Colin Russo and presented in The Inclusive Futures Method, the Vinculum Method enables methods to meet and unmeet, bolt and unbolt, and move in and out of their own spaces to create dynamic third spaces suited to the context.
Across five practical lessons you will map relationships, identify tensions and leverage points, design productive connections, test a third-space response and complete a Vinculum action plan for a real futures challenge.
Interactive format: every lesson includes a reflection prompt, practical exercise and action step.
Optional Professional Certification
A Certificate of Completion will be granted once the course is completed.
If professional certification is required, participants must submit a 3,000-word applied paper. Dr Colin Russo will review the paper and may request editing, revisions or responses to follow-up questions before approval.
The certification assessment fee is AUD $500, separate from the course fee. Upon successful completion, an official Engaging Futures Certificate of Completion will be supplied.
